Survey Says

My culminating project as a speech-language pathology clinical doctoral candidate at Northwestern University was the inspiration for Dysphoodie. I wanted to examine the social dining experiences of adults with dysphagia and their caregivers per qualitative measures.

Data was collected January 5, 2020 through February 8, 2020 via an online survey.

The chart below indicates the wide age range of adults who are impacted by dysphagia. Stay tuned for more info and insight from the survey! I will continue to advocate for visibility and quality of life, life after therapy.

Dysphoodie is the catalyst to influence and validate an untapped demographic, people with swallowing disorders (dysphagia) in the mainstream.
